Student and Starter Startup Edition: Free or 45 Day Trial?

I learned about and signed up today to the FogBugz Student and Startup Edition, which is an great for me personally as I have been looking for a package like FogBugz for a while, but can't afford the current cost, mainly due to the exchange rate. However after signing up the confirmation e-mail still states that there will be a warning when the 45 Day Trial account expires.

  • Is the Student and Startup Edition really free or just a trial version?
  • How can you confirm which edition you are using?
