I use chrome and FF, on win XP and Win7

How do I do this?

EDIT:

Progress! With the new chrome (v17, was on v11 or v12), it DOES work now for me.... but: Only on Win7 (not on XP), and only for single file drop... multiple files don't work (only one of the dropped files are attached).

These two issues (lack of func on XP and single file) make it rather useless, unfortunately!

It works fine with Chrome 16 (but it already worked with 11 or so) and XP, at least for me. Multiple files work partly: only one of the dropped files gets added. That's a bug I guess. – Michel de Ruiter Feb 11 2012 at 14:10
The single file thing is certainly a bug. – sam jones Feb 12 2012 at 3:37

It just won't work (yet?) with FireFox.

With Chrome (and Safari?), just drag a file to the page while editing (opening) a case. The blue Drop files here block will appear, like in the blog screenshot. Drop the file onto it and... that's it!

At the time drag-and-drop attachments were added only Safari and Chrome had (mostly) non-flaky support for it. I've opened a case to consider broadening this to include FireFox. – db Feb 6 2012 at 13:59
See this question for the feature request to enable this for FireFox: fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/4753/… – db Feb 6 2012 at 17:45
Michel, I use chrome. I use FB 8.6.50, but when I edit cases there is no "drop files here" spot. Just is not there. This is the on both Win7 and XP. What am I missing? – sam jones Feb 8 2012 at 4:32
@sam for me the block appears as soon as I drag something onto the page, with any recent Chrome and FogBugz 8.7.57. – Michel de Ruiter Feb 8 2012 at 13:30
Well, with the new chrome (v17, was on v11 or v12), it DOES work now for me.... but: Only on Win7 (not on XP), and only for single file drop... multiple files don't work. These two issues (lack of func on XP and single file) make it rather useless, unfortunately! – sam jones Feb 10 2012 at 17:30
