Poor performance of On Demand from overseas?

I'm using FogBugz on Demand from over here in Austria, Europe. The entire tool (and Kiln too) is fairly slow, with response times between pages (e.g. list screen -> case detail screen) of a few seconds.

Is that simply the actual performance of FogBugz, or is it slow because I'm all the way over here and not in the USA?

I don't think it's my Internet connection in itself because web content from Google, or Austrian newspapers, are much faster.

I was trying on on demand service for use with team in China. In the tests that I've run from China, the performance is abysmal. > 10m to get a page loaded. I'd really like to evaluate the software for use with our team, but this performance is a deal killer really. I've evaluated other online options like Jira OnDemand and some other smaller hosted setups, and none of them have this kind of terrible performance. I guess due to the lack of responses to this question, there isn't anything that can be done. – Mark yesterday
