There must be a reason why the fogbugz logo includes a kiwi?

This is our "kiwi" snippet: Once upon a time, a kiwi came poking around Fog Creek because he realized he had a bug. He said, "I am a bird that can't fly, this can't be by design!". He was hoping that someone here could figure out what the nature of the bug was, and how to fix it. And so he sits atop FogBugz waiting and watching for someone somewhere to figure it out, and mark the case of the flightless bird Resolved(Fixed). |

Kiwis eat bugs. FogBugz helps you metaphorically do the same. |

Kiwis have a built in defect, they are a bird that cannot fly. |

Kiwi's are the only birds to have their nostrils at the end of their beaks, because of this they are very good at sniffing out bugs even if they are hidden deep. |

I always assumed it was an anagram of "Wiki" since it arrived on the scene at or about the time the Wiki feature was added. |

Status changed from 'Active' to 'Resolved (By Design)'. Kiwi's were designed to be flightless birds, their main predators are introduced species. Us Kiwis are not buggy! |
