I'm using On Demand and have several mailboxes set up via Gmail's pop3 interface. Autoresponses aren't consistently being sent when these mailboxes receive emails, however emails received by cases@myaccount.fogbugz.com are getting autoresponded correctly.

Happening to some more people, always gmail related. – Jude Allred Dec 29 2009 at 22:19
Given Gmails popularity and it's affinity for adding precedence: 'list' to emails, I've removed the constraint against sending autoresponses to list-precedenced emails. Here's a larger list of constraints: fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/1275 – Jude Allred Dec 31 2009 at 23:42

FogBugz won't respond if the original mail has certain headers like "Precedence: list" or "Precedence: junk" and some other options as well.

FogBugz also won't reply to the same person more than 3 times per hour.

Turns out there are a variety of situations in which Gmail will add the 'list' precedence to the mail headers. – Jude Allred Dec 31 2009 at 23:29

Any chance the autoresponses are going into spam folders?

That'll certainly happen with some people, but in my case, that's not the issue. Good thought, though. – Jude Allred Dec 10 2009 at 18:20
