In reference to question 6456, please make deleted projects searchable for normal users.

We have a legacy project structure that we have deleted, and we'd prefer to not make all of our Normal FogBugz user's administrators of the deleted projects.

Why did you delete the project? It would be better in this case to perhaps rename it to something like "{Legacy} Project X" - which would likely sort after your other projects and make it possible to ignore it in many cases. – James McLeod Oct 5 2011 at 0:52
For my company, we do many, many projects and the list is too long as it is. We want to be able to archive projects that are over 18 months old, but we don't want to make them unsearchable by normal users so we would welcome this feature. – unknown (google) Dec 13 at 17:33

Thanks for the feature request! We'll file it as an official request when it reaches our top 100 feature requests by votes. To get it there, vote up this question!

My personal opinion is that it would make sense to have deletion of a project remove it from the drop-downs on the case page and filter options, but allow searching by the project: axis. e.g. Widget won't show up when you modify your filter, but you can search for project:"Widget" and find cases.
