Hi,

Coming from Bugzilla, I find it strange that the "version" field in fogbugz is a free text field. I would find it natural for the system to keep track of existing versions (just like milestones) in the project administration page.

Now, it seems that the way to handle this version information is in custom fields. Is that the way that in general people use the system?

On top of that, I would like to have the possibility to have (custom) fields with more then one value out of a dropdown box. For bugs it is natural to appear in more then one version and also to get fixed in more then one version. Can Fogbugz capture that information? I just toyed around with Jira and apparently there it is available.

Summary of feature request: - version information management in the project administration (like milestones) - possibility to list multiple versions where a bug appears and where it will be fixed. (affected versions) (fixed versions)

Best regards, Bart

Has there been any progress on this one?

I would love a multiple select field because we have a real issue with assigning milestones to cases. We get a bug report in one version of our software from a client. In resolving the case we find that the issue needs fixing in one or more later branches of our software. Since we can only assign the case to one milestone we end up duplicating cases in order to capture the change across the multiple software branches. Maybe I could use a field with a multiple select to assign the same case to the upcoming builds of each branch.

Any news would be most welcome!

Thanks Eric

We need to be able to check off which languages are applicable to the bug. With 24 languages a bunch of boolean yes/no custom fields is unusable. Same with creating multiple bugs per language. Please tell me there is some progress on this.

For now, tags come closest I guess. – Michel de Ruiter May 21 2012 at 9:11
