Hi, In our developing process, we wish to have the following flow-chart:

1) Analyze the problem: user "A"

2) Develop the solution: user "B"

3) Test level 1: user "C"

4) Test level 2: user "D"

5) Resolve

6) Release and close

How can I create such as workflow?

Install the Workflow Pluging, and create the active statuses:

  • Active (Analysis)
  • Active (Development)
  • Active (Test 1)
  • Active (Test 2)

Hi James, already done... So when the state of case change I must: 1) Edit 2) Change "Status" 3) Change user based on the new status This works, but let space to errors.. and it's slow.. It isn't possibile to "automatize" the steps? – Andrea - Eurosystem2000 Aug 31 at 15:50
The extent of the automation available is that you can automatically assign the case a single user (which could be a virtual user) at each transition (i.e. from Analysis to Development, Development to Test 1, Test 1 to Test 2, etc). This can be different per project. If you have only a single developer (or manager) responsible for each step, you can completely automate the assignment of the case; if you have more than one, you could create a virtual user (e. g. "Test 1 - Project 'A'" which includes all relevant developers, and have them self-assign. I'm not sure there is any more one can do – James McLeod Aug 31 at 18:16
This could be useful, but I did'nt fint where I can do these settings.. I watch into project management, areas, etc.. Mut I didnt see it.. – Andrea - Eurosystem2000 Sep 1 at 8:34
AAArgh... I'm blind... I think to do this changing workflow settings... My apologize... – Andrea - Eurosystem2000 Sep 1 at 8:36
Don't be so harsh with yourself - FogBugz with all its plugins provides a "very rich environment" and it is very easy to get lost. Good luck! – James McLeod Sep 1 at 13:27
