I wanted to download a local copy of the FogBugz database of our FogBugz On Demand account. But after 4 hours I canceled the operation - the progress bar showed something like 5 percent completed.

I know the feature is meant for migrating a FogBugz installation, and not for ad hoc backups, but it was so slow that it was not usable.

I know having a local copy of the database perhaps is a bit paranoid, but the recent hurricane warning prompted me to take action.

How big is your database, and do what upload speeds you were seeing? I recently tried to FTP a large (>12 GB) FogBugz database backup (a MySQL dump file), but cancelled the transfer after from the upload speed that it would take about 60 hours... – James McLeod Aug 29 at 17:28
I don't know the size of the database, as I haven't even come to the download part yet. Thanks for your comment. – Emil Rasmussen Aug 30 at 6:32
