This has got to be the most annoying thing about Fogbugz. If I have a large amount of cases in my filter (not sure the exact number but I don't think it's related to quantity but some other aspect) and I select ALL of them with the top check-all check box, the CLOSE button at the bottom of the list becomes DISABLED. The only way I can close a large number of cases is to slowly select more and more until the CLOSE button becomes disabled and then unselect a few until it becomes enabled again. This is time consuming and tedious and really pathetic. Why can't I just close all of my cases at once?

You can only close resolved cases. Your filter is apparently showing you a mix of resolved and active cases. Therefore, when you select them all (or select them one by one and eventually hit an unresolved case), the Close button becomes disabled.

Narrow your filter to only display resolved cases, or resolve all your unresolved cases before you run you filter.
