Our company could use a reminder option in FB, as requested (and voted up) previously.

http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/3512/feature-request-set-a-reminder-alert-on-a-case http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/7536/reminder-if-a-case-is-in-certain-status-for-some-time

What can FB provide, out of the box?
RSS subscriptions to saved Filters - an OK feature.
But it's the solution to a slightly different problem - FB filter results pages are static.
I'm no web developer - is it possible to make the FB filter result pages dynamic (like gmail)?
Then there's no need for RSS to dynamically update a filter, simply leaving a webpage open will do the trick.

However, an email reminder/notification system is slightly different.
It allows emails to be sent to any email address, at a specified time.
This could be applied to a filter, or an individual case.

With this feature, I could close a case, having agreed with the customer to get back to them in a month/fortnight/week.
At that time, the case is then reopened and the email sent (either to me, or them, or whoever).

Are there plans for this kind of feature? Maybe someone's developed an unpublished plug-in for it?

Cheers! Justine

UPDATE!: The Do Later plugin is now available, which lets you add reminders to cases. Check it out!

Great suggestion!

We currently have a plugin in development to add the ability to add reminders to cases. While we have a few things to polish, we hope to release it soon.

That's really good news to read, and it could save us developing an island system for certain parts of our workflow. Really looking forward to this - it's certainly a point for evangelism :) – Justine Aug 11 2011 at 8:36
This should probably be closed at this point. Is there value in tracking conflicts in requests? For example, I notice that the behavior requested in this question conflicts with the behavior requested in fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/10163/… – Marc Moroz Aug 10 at 20:55
@Marc In this particular case, the Do Later plugin's design is pretty much fixed. FogBugz may implement a "native" reminder system in the future, but it's unlikely we're going to do much to change the overall design of the existing Do Later plugin. When users have conflicting suggestions, we may track them, but in the end we have to choose one design over the other. – Ben McCormack Aug 14 at 13:54

Do Later has appeared in the plugin list though I haven't had an oppurtunity to take it for spin. Sounds great!
