There is a stackexchange item that asks this exact question... http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/5804/how-do-i-fix-ixbugeventlatest-for-the-cases-diagnostics-is-warning-me-about-in-di

...but gives an answer I totally don't know what to do with. I understand the answer given is some sort of SQL code, but I don't know where to type this in or what database I need to load in the client, or really, how to best execute this answer. I'm running Linux and would appreciate information on what client I need to launch and whether I need to issue a few commands before I issue the answer given.

Further, the answer warns that it isn't well tested. I have only two cases that need fixing, and I know their case numbers (the case numbers shown in the GUI), so I'd rather type in a much simpler command twice that would guarantee only affect each of these two broken cases if that is possible.

I'd also like to understand exactly what the SQL code given in that answer is trying to accomplish.

Thanks for any info. -todd-

Interesting, it appears that this problem has self-healed on my system. Some other admin had run through the diagnostics and ended up kicking off a ixBugEventLatest backfill process in Step 6. This seems to have healed the ixBugEventLatest == NULL problem. Now, everything is fine.
