We are a startup of two building websites for not technically savy people. We've just been through the free beta of Uservoice (feedback + support) and are quite disappointed to say the least. So I was looking for an alternative and thought it would be great if users could directly submit their thoughts into Fogbugz, as we are happily using it to manage our each and every task. It turns out they "can" by turning on the anonymous submit option, but I'm affraid the UI is going to be "frightening"...

What I wish for would be a widget, like the Uservoice or GetSatisfaction plugins you see everywhere, with it's little "feedback" button you can embed directly on your website, that opens a lightbox with pretty much nothing but a textarea to submit anything they'd like.

They don't need to know which project their submitting to, the version or computer (those seem to be custom fields on our On Demand account), or the "zone". They don't even need to come up with a subject/title. An email adresse (or even better OpenID/Oauth connect) would be optional, if they wished to get an answer.

I've been searching for that, but couldn't quite find it. Please excuse me if there is already such a thing, or if it's off topic, and thank you for your attention.

One last thought: we were willing to pay for the aforementioned service and only changed our mind due to the poor technical execution. So even if we have very little money at the moment, and enjoy the benefit of the gratuitous startup edition of Fogbugz, that is definitely something we would pay for, and that would make us stick to Fogbugz!

p.s. : right now, I think I'm gonna implement a substitute solution by having a lightbox plugin send a form to a fogbugz email account... – damien Jul 5 at 14:37
