This is similar to Why is Fogbugz telling me "Cannot add case", but not identical. The answer to that question is "If we were to offer the Add case link at the bottom, we wouldn't know which project to put the case in", however in the "All open cases" search below the projects are clearly known. Why then is add cases still not available (and why doesn't it tell me why it can't add a case?)

The cases are sorted by area rather than by project (and in general, it is not possible to determine the project from the area). In your configuration, it may be that each area appears only in one project, but I can't see anyway it would be safe to let FogBugz make that assumption. If you sort them by project, you should be able to add cases. |
