Hey,

I would really like a fully supported kanban board. I'm a huge fan of the current one, but it appears to be coming to a halt development wise and is missing some key features to make it super useful.

  1. Kanban board configuration per project
  2. Visual SLA overruns on board
  3. Swim lanes inside individual columns (with own WIP limits)
  4. Visual blockage on items on the board.
  5. All the stuff the current board has.

I think this would be a great edition to the Fogbugz eco-system. I'm happy to UAT test it for you too!

Please, Please, Please!!!! Go on, you know you want to!

It would be great if the Kanban board actually updated the status of the case, instead of a completely separate Kanban status like the current plugin. I would love to be able to drag a case into a Code Review column, for example, and have it resolve the case and set it to our Resolved (Code Review) status. – Kevin Berridge Sep 23 at 14:32
We want this, too! The Kanban plugin is an ok proof-of-concept, but not at all production-ready. – Peter Oct 11 at 14:02
Is the FCxxx case listed here for Trello integration? – Nick Pierpoint Oct 28 at 9:32
We are really wishing we had quick visualization of subcase hierarchy on the kanban board without having to click away. As it is, we are putting the subcases on the board themselves just to make them visible, but that makes things real cluttered and confusing. – rob gwin Dec 13 at 20:25
We're deferring this as any kanban-like functionality is likely to come from integration with Trello. – Rich Armstrong Feb 13 at 19:05

I strongly support that request, a "Task Board" is essential for top-level project management, and the existing Kanban plugin, as neat as it is, feels tucked on to FogBugz rather than seamlessly integrated.

A native Task Board similar to the "GreenHopper" plugin Jira offers would take Project Management with FogBugz to the next level.

I agree on the GreenHopper thing. At the moment we are tooling up for more formal Scrum development, and seeing tools like this makes us look hard at whether our current tools are worth continuing with. – Greg Whitfield Jun 27 at 9:22
Greenhopper seemed really slick, but I found it (and Jira in general) to be an unnecessarily-complex to the point of being very hard to use. It isn't "agile" if I have to hire a consultant to explain how to use the thing. Hopefully FogBugz can find a better balance between flexibility and easy of use. – Stephen M. Redd Jul 13 at 22:49

Thanks for the feature request! We have a request filed, but we are currently deferring any kanban-like requests until integration with Trello is available.
