We do some custom development and would like to use fb to help prepare documentation presented to customers when making our pitch. I understand your argument for not including Gantt charts and I am not opposed to them. However, their is little doubt that it is something clients are familiar with, can easily understand and gives them tangible timelines. We also use this to show work hour predictions to calculate the cost to the customer which is why developer timelines will never work for us.
Do you have any recommendations for alternatives to customer reporting so that I can start weaning our clients off Gantt charts? Developer timelines would definitely NOT work for them, they only care about what will get done by when, and how many hours it took.
Any suggestions and ideas of how people are providing scheduling/cost breakdowns to customers will be appreciated. I hate having to use a secondary application to create documents for potential clients clients.
