Are there any plans to add in the ability to send email under ONE, singular mailbox, but as different aliases?

For instance:

We have two company names, both utilizing the same support team.

When a client is contacting me from Company X, I want to be able to respond from:

support@companyx.com

However when a client from Company Y contacts us, I want to be able to respond from:

support@companyY.com

Currently, because these are domain aliases, I can't set up a mailbox (under Mailboxes) with the same account name (remember, the login name for Google Apps will be exactly the same because we're using domain aliases).

I'm using OnDemand FBz service.

Sorry, this just opens up too many issues. If we can log into a mailbox and check an address, then we can verify that you have control over that email address. This would allow people to set FogBugz to send email from any email address they want, without verification. For the protection of the other folks who rely on emails going out from our SMTP servers, we have to defer this request.

But isn't easy to verify a domain? Google offers three different ways to verify someone owns a domain: google.com/support/a/bin/answer.py?answer=60216 – Jessica Hilt May 11 2011 at 16:36
It's also a matter of all the engineering work it would take to create an entirely new validation interface to support a usage which is not very widespread. Right now, our efforts are better applied elsewhere. – Rich Armstrong May 11 2011 at 17:58
