Hello,

Is there a way to remove all tags in my Bugz so my team can start with a clean slate?

Also - can I upload an excel or csv file with a list of tags I want my team to use?

Thanks, Andrea

i second that. as soon as any user introduces a mis-spelled but slightly plausible tag, all other users ever are confronted with the ambiguity of which tag to use - this easily makes searches by tags quite useless. are tags automatically removed from the autompletion list, if there are no occurrences anymore? i suspect not. – sbn Jul 28 2011 at 12:16

Sorry, there's no way to do this outside of deleting the information from the database directly. If you're not on FogBugz On Demand, contact us for help with this.

You should be able to just add a single case with all the tags you want your team to use. They'll then go into the autocomplete.

If there is NO case with a given case, then YES they are automatically removed from the auto complete.

to do a "Batch removal" of a given tag, search for "All cases tagged " and select all the cases you want to remove the tag from, and all the way at the bottom of the page, there is EDIT button, click on it, you'll be presented with a list of all the selected cases, and also the tags they have.

You can simply remove a tag here. IF you remove a given tag from all cases in fogbugz it'll simply get out of your system.

to be honest, I don't like this way of tag handling, and I'm sure there are much better ways but anyways, better this way then to have to contact customer support just for removing tags from my cases ;)
