Question

The ability to create a button that quickly assigns a case from one particular (custom or otherwise) state to another state, or that can quickly leverage commonly used functionality through quick admin configuration, rather than having to have a C# developer resource to develop plugins for each button one would need seems like it would be both imminently useful, not only to me, but others that need it, too.

This is definitely in our plans. We'll end up doing this as an extension of the bookmarklet builder we already have in the works.
