We are using a 6.1.42 version, can we update to 8 version? What do we have to do?

Yes, an upgrade from 6 to 8 is possible. Please provide more info about your current FB system (OS incl. OS version, Database incl. DB version). Are you planning an in-place upgrade (upgrading Fogbugz from v6 to v8 on the same system)? – Alex Mar 18 2011 at 23:27

You can definitely upgrade from FogBugz 6 to FogBugz 8! FogBugz is designed to be able to upgrade from any previous version of itself.

Your best be is probably just to email us directly at customer-service@fogcreek.com with your details (order ID if you have it, whether or not you'll be changing database servers, the server OS and specs you'll be running FogBugz on, etc.).

You'll need an up-to-date maintenance contract in order to upgrade to FogBugz 8, but you can find out more about that when you contact us.
