Lets say I am working in a particular project. 100% of my time assigned to it. Then there is a milestone defined for that project and a number of cases assigned to that particular milestone. Then there are a bunch of other cases not assigned to any milestone.

How does EBS take into account those cases? Do they affect the predictions for the milestone?

If they do and I am not expected to work in them until the milestone is closed. What is the best way to handle that?

It depends what other milestone the cases are assigned to - if it's "Undecided", EBS assumes you will work on them after all dated milestones, and before all other non-dated milestones.

Hence if your project has a dated milestone, they will not affect it at all.
