Is there a way to reply to a comment/parts of a comment in a case?

That is, I'm not the owner of the case and I also don't want to specifically email the owner. I'm reading through the case, seeing a comment which I've to add something and would like to basically reply to this comment and have this appended to the case, including nice formatting so the other see to which comment I replied, which parts I quoted, etc. Bugzilla has this feature.

I've voted this down. Threaded comments would make cases more and more into discussions, which should be discouraged IMHO. Why not comment linearly by editing (adding a case event)? Being able to edit without emailing the owner is a separate issue. – Michel de Ruiter Jul 18 at 7:26
It feels a bit unintuitive to edit the ticket. I came across a case that was assigned to someone else where the instructions weren't quite clear, and I wanted to ask specifics, but I was hesitant to edit since I didn't understand how editing works. That could be a case of needing to know the process and standard but if I get confused, you can be sure everyone else in the office will. Thanks! – Jack Timmons Sep 24 at 19:53

We don't offer this feature, currently. Vote up this question if you'd like to see it implemented.
