We have switched from the on-demand version to our own server and have createded a backup of our hosted db. Seems like the version running on the hosted version is newer then the latest version available for "private" use.

I have imported the mysql db without errors, but when I try to run FogBugz it gives me this error "FogBugz cannot continue. This database is version 780 and the software needs to run against a database of version 778."

Is there a solution available?

As suggested by Uwe, contacting us at customer-service@fogcreek.com is definitely your best bet. – db Mar 4 2011 at 22:13

I had the same issue. The On Demand version is slightly ahead from the delivered version for your server. I contacted support and they solved this immediately.

This is because the version you are using on FogBugz On Demand is farther along than the version you are currently able to download. We've made recent changes to our release process to facilitate weekly pushes to our On Demand environment. This means features get out quicker, our QA team is less strained with bursts of work, and everyone's generally a lot happier.

But we've sacrificed some flexibility w/r/t the ability to move between hosted and licensed. We're still sorting out a friendly way to do this, so thanks for bearing with us.
