How can I setup another application to use FogBugz for authentication?

The FogBugz XML API and Plugin APIs don't provide a way for another application to authenticate via FogBugz, but one of our awesome customers wrote an apache module, mod_authn_fogbugz, to let another website use the FogBugz Person table.
