Possible Duplicate:
Allowing community user to view all tasks in a project

I use FogBugz 8 and have the Community Case List plugin enabled but I still have problems with displaying cases to community users. There is a bit in the configuration described which I do not understand. It says something about "project belonging to a group". How a project can belong to a group? I cannot find any option for this. I have a few public and open source projects I work on and I would like the community to be more involved in the development and also to give more transparency to the community.

This is really important feature to me. I would appreciate any help or hint.

Fog Creek didn't write the Community Case List plugin, but I just wanted to chime in to hopefully shed some light on the "project belonging to a group" description.

FogBugz "groups" have changed a number of times over the years. We wrote a blog post about FogBugz permissions (and "groups") that might help clarify what the plugin author is/was referring to.

Thank you for your response. To be honest I do not even care too much about the Community Case List plugin. What I really care about is the feature to display all cases for selected project to everyone. Ideally to even anonymous people if that is not possible then at least to community users. Is there any way to do this? – Artur Hefczyc Feb 18 2011 at 18:07
Community Users is closer, but even that doesn't sound like it really matches what you're looking for. In order to be able to see all the cases in a project, that user would need to be a Normal User (and therefore require a license). Community Users can view the email correspondence of all the cases they've submitted, but they can't edit cases or view comments made by normal FogBugz users. This is intended to allow internal communication among developers that isn't publicly visible. This post has some more detail fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/2874/… – db Feb 18 2011 at 20:21
This is really unfortunate. FogBugz is so close to what I need but this might be a deal breaker if I cannot overcome the problem. I do not need non-Normal User to be able to edit cases, except adding comments to the cases, either own or other public, better yet of they can see milestones as well. I have a team of developers doing the actual job, and I have a few public and open source projects to which anybody can submit a bug report or feature request. Having an extra, external system like UserVoice is not an option. I want a single system for project management. Is there really no way to it? – Artur Hefczyc Feb 18 2011 at 20:59
