The one workflow issue that trips me up more than any other in FogBugz is the situation where I've recently dispatched a case, so that it no longer shows up in whatever list I'm working through, and then want to go back to it at some point later in the day.

I do not use the "Working On" feature religiously, so I can't use the "Recently Worked On" feature.

I would like to be able to quickly glance at all the bugs I have recently modified. Is this something that is built-in to FogBugz somehow, and I'm just missing it? Is there a clever filter I could use to get at this information easily?

Usually the scenario is that I've sent and closed a response to some customer, and later think of something else I wanted to add. Now I have to search on the case by email, if I can remember it, or by name, or by viewing all my cases and sorting from highest bug number to lowest.

Any help is appreciated.

You do this by combining the "editedBy" and "edited" search axes, e.g.

editedBy:Me edited:Today

Or

editedBy:Me edited:Yesterday

Or even

editedby:"Me" edited:"-2d.."

Thanks, guys. I think a search along the lines you are suggesting will do the trick, saved as an easy bookmark or saved list. – Daniel Jalkut Feb 19 2011 at 20:05

The FNN plugin gives you a list of recent events. This might not work smoothly after a few days. Other search options may fit better in that case.

A useful suggestion, but I like the fact that the search solution above doesn't require an additional plugin. Thanks! – Daniel Jalkut Feb 19 2011 at 20:06

If it's something I just did, I find the fastest way is to go to the Recent list under the starred menu. Or to search for edited:"-5m..".

Very cool tip. I didn't know about the relative date ranges. – Daniel Jalkut Feb 19 2011 at 20:04

I use:

editedBy:me edited:"this week" orderBy:"-lastviewed"

Thanks, Michel. I like the "orderBy" flag as a finesse of the similar examples suggested above. – Daniel Jalkut Feb 19 2011 at 20:07
