Recently fogbugz (hosted version) is logging me out for no reason. I'm saving a case, and it redirects me to the login page. I've got "keep me logged in" ticked, but this isn't even kept.

It has been working fine for months, any I'm still using the same PC, Google Chrome (as I always have been) and I haven't touched my cookie settings since day one.

Ideas?

Edit: I've cleared cookies and still no luck. Keep getting logged out. Looks very much like a server farm problem or similar to me! My login context is not being kept between requests.

This turned out to be a bug in Chrome. See this answer for how to fix it: fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/704/… – Babak Ghahremanpour Dec 2 2009 at 20:57

This is a bug with Google Chrome which has been fixed in Chrome version 4.0.249. It has been reported elsewhere, by other people, and for other sites (including GMail and iGoogle).

Chrome 4.0.249 is currently only available from the Chromium Developer Early Release Channel or "dev channel" for short. If you want to change your channel to the dev channel, go here to install the Google Chrome Channel Changer and follow the instructions to upgrade Chrome:

I would try clearing your browser cache and cookies anyway, Simon, and see if it resolves the problem.

Hi Simon,

I can't reproduce the problem in Chrome, but it's been happening intermittently for me with Firefox 3.0 and 3.5.

Can you give us some additional information so we can try to track this down for you? What specific version of Chrome are you using? What operating system are you running? Is your OS 32-bit or 64-bit?

I know it sounds cliché, but could you also try rebooting your machine in addition to clearing your cookies and private cache?

Happens to me too, on Chrome x64 XP. I basically stopped using Chrome with FB for that reason and reverted to [sigh] FireFox...

Some of our users are seeing this on Safari 4 OS X 10.5 as well. The strange thing is though that its not consistent. Several other users with the same configuration do not have this problem.
