I'm not sure if this is the right place to post such a thing. I think the new stackexchange.com based support site is not as good as the old - but getting my point...

I work on a slow/intermittent connection sometimes and entering or editing a new case sometimes will end up just sitting there with "Submitting..." at the top but never actually submit the issue. The major problem here is that I cannot submit it again!

Unlike some web pages where I can just press "Reload" button to resubmit this doesn't work with FB. Also, the "OK" button used to submit it in the first place is disabled, so I have no way to submit it. Now, luckily I can copy/paste the tile and description to a new case or by reloading the case and editing it again, but I cannot copy/paste the other ~10 fields that are part of a case. So it is terribly frustrating. I wish I could just re-enable that OK button (or it did so itself) and let me try to resubmit the edit/new case again.

P.S. I just had the same problem with this support forum post and lost all of my edits because I couldn't copy/paste them!

Can you let us know just how slow a connection we're talking about? – FogBugz FAQ Feb 15 2011 at 20:51
These are actually fast connections but apparently intermittently an online backup program on some server would saturate the connection. From that day, the speed and ping tests are as follows speedtest.net/result/1150406380.png pingtest.net/result/34243775.png Again, I believe the problem was that it was intermittently VERY slow due to saturated connection despite the otherwise relatively fast connection. – blog.scott Feb 16 2011 at 19:21
FogBugz 9 will be considerably more AJAXy, which will help its performance on slow connections. – Rich Armstrong Sep 20 2011 at 16:42
