Sorry if this is a duplicate. I wasn't able to find a similar question while searching.

Does FogBugz update the 'Person' table after an account is initially created? Specifically, do LDAP and AD changes propagate into the FogBugz database?

I'm using FogBugz 8.1.4 running on Ubuntu and configured to authenticate with open-ldap running on another local server. It looks like data that is updated in LDAP is not being propagated into FogBugz. Is there a way to force a sync without manually poking the table myself?

If the answer is 'no', I would like to request that this is an added feature.

Yes, the fullname and email address in FogBugz should be controlled by, and synchronized with, the LDAP server. If I'm not mistaken, the synchronization should occur whenever a user logs into FogBugz using LDAP.

If you're finding that this is not the case, please let me know -- there might be a bug.

Thanks Rob. I tried this with a few test accounts and it was working. The user that sparked this question must not have signed in since updating his email address. Thanks for your help. – Mike Caron Jan 31 2011 at 13:57

This is the same problem we're having! The user was created with the wrong email address. It's been corrected in LDAP/AD but after a few days, FB has not re-imported the new email address for this user. Is there way to force FB to update it's user info?

I believe the user needs to log in for the changes to be reflected. I would also like some way to force an update if it is possible. – Mike Caron Sep 17 at 17:32
