Apparently the FogBugz output will not install in SnagIt 10 and the prelim answer that I am getting from SnagIt support is that Fog Creek handles the plug in, so it will be up to them to fix it. Just FYI since it doesn't seem like anyone else has mentioned this yet (that I could find anyway).

It works for me. I just successfully sent Snagit 10 captures to our local install of FogBugz (Version 8.2.24) and to my on demand account (Version 8.2.27H). – Greg Saven Jan 26 2011 at 18:44
I can't get it to install at all - when you run the downloaded "accessory" it says "Unable to install accessory." Perhaps it is limited to a specific platform or something (I use Win7 64bit) but tech support told me "...but there is a note that the latest versions of Fogbugz have been reported to have some problems with our output..." Not sure if that covers the installation problem I am having or not, but just figure I'd mention it. Downloaded Bug Shooting as a trial and it does work well if anyone else runs into the same problem I did. – Ryan McGinty Jan 26 2011 at 19:26
Whatever the problem is, it's not specific to Win 7 x64. That's what I run. – Greg Saven Jan 26 2011 at 21:24
Same here. Works like a charm. – Uwe Raabe Jan 27 2011 at 9:45
Hi - My Snag-It v10 and with Fogbugz accessory has not worked for a while now. Here is what happens. I screenshot and try to send to Fogbugz. The first time a small pop-up window appears asking me to logon to Fogbugz which is fine however when completed Fogbugz opens within that small windows. The next time I do it when I am already logged in, I send to Fogbugz and then my Fogbugz install opens in the small window just listing cases. I close the window and then it open Fogbugz properly in my full browser with the correct case number however with no attachment. I use FB on demand and Chrome. – joesken Mar 18 2011 at 10:43

There were initially some issues with SnagIt and FogBugz 8, but to our knowledge those have been fixed.

What's the exact version of SnagIt that you're using?

I went to their website yesterday and downloaded the latest version of the trial and then the fogbugz output accessory. When I double click on the accessory to load it, it just throws up "Unable to install accessory" which to me sounds more like a bug in SnagIt, but their support said Fog Creek managed the plug in so... Not sure, but just wanted to make a note since I didn't do anything complicated and had no luck ;) – Ryan McGinty Jan 27 2011 at 3:41

We are having exactly the same problem on both local install (Version 8.3.42) and OnDemand( 8.4.76H). This feature was the main reason we went with FogBugz in the first place, so hope this can be fixed ASAP.

It's exatly the same problem as joesken stated : "The first time a small pop-up window appears asking me to logon to Fogbugz which is fine however when completed Fogbugz opens within that small windows. The next time I do it when I am already logged in, I send to Fogbugz and then my Fogbugz install opens in the small window just listing cases. I close the window and then it open Fogbugz properly in my full browser with the correct case number however with no attachment"

Tested with IE, Firefox and Chrome as default browser on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. Same result each time.

Have you been able to upload attachments manually with IE into FogBugz (i.e., using IE to log into FogBugz, create a case and attach a file)? Also, what version of IE do you have on your computer? – db May 13 2011 at 14:45

Also, what URL are you using in the FogBugz output accessory? If you're trying to post screenshots to FogBugz On Demand, make sure you're using https:// and not just http://. – db May 13 2011 at 20:24

It doesn't work with community user. Well at least for me :| It does open up the web page, login and create the issue, but without attachments or screenshots :(
