Firstly, I really love this plugin, so I can edit all the typo's in our Fogbugz projects.

I think there is a bug in the logic behind this plugin however. If I fix an incorrect reference to another case E.g. User has typed the following into a case.

"Bug 1. Save button doesn't work, Bug 2. Unable to edit xxx text, Bug 3. Dates are not localised"

Fobugz creates links to Case 1,2,3. These links are wrong (because the users is not referencing a Fogbugz case, but just listing multiple bugs in one document, so I updated that text in the "Case Event Edit" plugin and I've still got references to the original text cases 1,2,3. I would have expected that if I've changed the text to remove the references in the current public view, then a link to those incorrect cases would be removed. Is this a bug or have I made an incorrect assumption here?

It's a lacking feature. :-)

References to other cases (for example because of the bug # notation) stay on a case. Deleting the referring text does not remove them.

Yeah, we tried and tried to figure out how to do this smoothly, and eventually just gave up. It's a known deficit and something we're probably not going to solve for a long while. – Rich Armstrong Jan 24 2011 at 19:42
FWIW, the difficulty of solving this and recording history without confusing the heck out of the user was one of the things that blocked Case Event Edit from ever being done for years. The only reason we were able to do this at all was that we gave up on supporting this use case. – Rich Armstrong Jan 24 2011 at 19:43
