We would love to add additional email addresses to our fogbugz hosted account. However, we don't want to enable POP on our email server, because that is an additional security surface. It also defeats the purpose of a hosted solution.

Right now we have: cases@xxx.fogbugz.com

We would love to have: cases@xxx.fogbugz.com project1@xxx.fogbugz.com project2@xxx.fogbugz.com

At the moment we only offer 1 built-in mailbox. As of FogBugz 8, we now offer IMAP in addition to POP. Does that work for you?

You could also point FogBugz at another mail host, like Google.

I second the feature request. IMAP is really no better than POP. – Mike Jan 14 2011 at 19:23
Our plan is to set up a POP3 server on our usual small system hosting service (linode) and make mailboxes there. However, we'd prefer the approach in this question, since it would keep us from having to set up, pay for, and administer a new server. I don't think supporting more than one mailbox would cost Fog Creek any more money, and it would be much more convenient and cost-effective for us. – Todd Jun 24 2011 at 17:47

I would also like the ability to add additional email accounts to the FBOD accounts. It is extremely limiting to only have autosort on the inbox project.

I don't think you even need extra mailboxes. If anything@xxx.fogbugz.com is delivered as if it went to cases@xxx.fogbugz.com then you could sort on the recipient address. I could use Project1@xxx.fogbugz.com or cases.proj1@xxx.fogbugz.com... I'd much rather that than set up gmail accounts to route our bug reports into fogbugz, or open up our mailserver to POP/IMAP... – StuartLeitch Dec 13 at 12:36
