Hello everyone. Sorry if this has been asked before. How do we change the estimate interval from days/hours to points? Our team uses a standard point system (0,.5,1,2,3,5,8,13,20) to estimate the size of a task, not how long we think it will take. I'm sure there is a way to do this, I just havent found the correct knob and or lever yet.

Cheers, Todd

I don't believe there is a way to change the Estimate field to actually work with points instead of any time frame - thats the point of estimates, and EBS works on that, and lots and lots of other bits.

One suggestion you could look at, just add an additional custom field, say "Estimate Points", update that, and of course you can sort on that in the regular case lists.
I assume you use these points for deciding priorities, and what goes into which release when, right? You'd still need the programmers to actually add a real estimate before they begin coding...

You would typically estimate a product backlog in hours (this is a coarse, developer-independent estimate of effort) and a sprint backlog in hours (this is a fine-grained, time-consuming, developer-dependent estimate in hours). See blog.mountaingoatsoftware.com/… – Steve Baxter Sep 20 at 18:38
