When I try to edit an existing wiki entry in Firefox 4 beta 7, the editing page is displayed with an empty edit area and a "Loading..." message at the top of the page. The message never goes away, and the edit area is never populated with the entry's current text. ("Never" in this case means "within the ten minutes I've waited.")

This could be a Firefox bug (perhaps in the new JavaScript engine), in which case it would be worth reporting the issue to Mozilla now. Has anyone else seen this? Is anyone at Fog Creek testing with pre-release versions of the upcoming major Firefox and IE releases?

As of Firefox 4 Beta 10 this issue is no longer reproducible.

I can confirm that editing wikis doesn't work with Firefox 4 Beta 7. We're planning on fixing this and just haven't got to it yet.

We have, however, started testing FogBugz 8 with the IE9 Beta.

Do you have any idea whether the fault lies with Firefox or FogBugz? This is mostly a matter of curiosity, but if Firefox is to blame, Mozilla should hear about it sooner rather than later. – Jesse Nov 19 2010 at 15:24

It's been our experience that most of the issues we have with beta browsers (Chrome, FF, IE) get resolved without action on our part by the time the browser comes out of beta. This is why we don't take bug reports on beta browsers. – Rich Armstrong Nov 19 2010 at 16:12
