We've got several old "projects" in Fogbugz that have been closed or have ended over the last few years, some of still contain several open, but useless/nonapplicable cases. We don't mind leaving the old cases there and just closing them, the problem is that when searching for current stuff, the search results are all clogged with old, invalid stuff.

Is it possible to exclude case "projects" from the search index so that old material doesn't confuse the issue when searching?

Have you considered resolving/closing those old cases (using bulk edit, for example) and then adding status:active to your searches?

Is there an alternative to mauling the deleted project? We may revisit ours next year, and there's value in seeing which tickets were still open when this year's project ended. – Nathaniel Irons Jun 27 2011 at 22:02

I would also like to exclude old projects from showing up in the search results. There are no active cases in these old projects (all CLOSED), yet they show up in my search results making it harder to find relevant info.
