I have 3 mailboxes that I parse for incoming mail. 1 account is support. The other 2 are for internal uses. These are accounts that our systems email to FogBugz and the email is stored in cases for auditing and searching. When my developers email responses to customers they have 6 email addresses to choose for the from field. 6 = 3 mailboxes x 2 options (from user name or from mailbox name).

I only want my developers to send email from the support mailbox, so they should only have those 2 options.

Does anyone know of a way to do this? I can't seem to find any options to restrict using a Mailbox to a specific project.

I should also note that the 3 mailboxes use 3 different projects, only the support mailbox uses the built-in Inbox.

Another solution would be to remove those un-needed email addresses from the pulldown using a BugMonkey script.

Excellent thanks for quick response. Since many of my developers are also admins on the site I think the BugMonkey route is the way to go. Something new to learn! It sounds like (from other posts) BugMonkey is a must have for those minor customizations that don't warrant a plugin or recompile. – Andrew Weiss Nov 17 2010 at 14:47

As a workaround, if the developers don't need regular access to the projects the other 4 email addresses feed into, you can set up permissions such that those mailboxes' projects are not visible to the developers. This will remove them from the drop-down.
