I think I already know the answer to this, but I want to make sure I am not missing something.

Can I submit a "category" ("Bug", "Feature", "Inquiry", or "Schedule Item") with a BugzScout submission? If not, is there a reason why this is not allowed?

It looks like I may be relying on the BugzScout API for something that it was not meant to do, but I would still rather use it than the XML API.

Thanks!

I've created case 1799770 to consider this. Seems reasonable.

Note: you can use the XML API and have it act just like BugzScout (number of occurances, appending cases, etc), but it requires using a user login fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/2083/… – adambox Feb 18 2010 at 22:24

You can submit BugzScout cases via the xml api and have a lot more control over the cases. The trade-off is that api calls do require a user login (and license).
