In the latest Fogbugz (8.0), the Wiki editor seems to be prepending "mailto:" before all my links, which I believe wasn't happening in prior versions. Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create or edit an article
  2. Press "Insert", and then select "Link"
  3. Optionally open the advanced linking panel, and note the "external link" example which is provided, being http://www.example.com.
  4. Enter http://www.example.com, and "example link" as the link text
  5. Press OK.

Now view or edit the link, and notice it erroneously points to "mailto:http://www.example.com".

What operating system is your FogBugz server running? If it's Unix, Linux, or Mac, this is a known bug that has been fixed and will be released in the next version of FogBugz.

However, if you're running FogBugz on a Windows server, this is a different bug that we'll need to dig into further.

The server runs on a Mac. So I suppose it is a known issue then. Thanks! – Nicholas Nov 2 2010 at 7:00
