I am getting the following error using FogBugz 8.0.26 on Windows with SQL Server 2008 R2 even after multiple resets of the search index. Diagnostics reports no problems. It seems to get almost all of the way done (88% and 93% the last two times) and then stops with this error:

10/27/2010 4:30 PM (GMT-05:00): Failed to update the search index; resetting the index may fix this (Admin -> Site -> Search -> Reset): -2147024809 - The parameter 'address' cannot be an empty string. Parameter name: address Info: Type: Bug ID: 4322

Does anyone have any idea of the correct way to fix this error?

Hey Bill - I'm sending you an email about this right now. – Rob Sobers Oct 28 2010 at 14:50
Thanks, Rob! That solved the problem after I added Bug 4322 to the blacklist. – Bill Lowrey Oct 28 2010 at 18:56

This was solved by adding the offending case to the blacklist maintained in Settings.

http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/3149/how-do-i-blacklist-a-case-from-search-indexing

In my case, the bug causing the problem was indicated in the message, but Rob's email indicated that turning on Website logging would enable me to see which bug it was choking on, and it turns out they agreed. I followed the instuctions on the above link, and now my index is complete.
