Hi,

if I work on a case and then assign it to another person, FogBugz still thinks that I work on that case. But it is not so, I gave case to another person. I think, that if I assign case I'm working on to another person, fogbugz should trigger "stop working" for me. We have FB 8 on our server. Is it a bug or a feature?

We definitely try to strike a balance between automation and sensible functioning. Above all, we try to make FogBugz not do something the user doesn't expect. So the big question is:

When I assign a case I'm working on to someone else, do I expect my work to be stopped automatically?

There's already some precedent for people wanting working on and assign to be more closely linked, but we don't know how deep that expectation is. We could almost certainly write a new plug-in or amend the Autoassign plug-in to do this, if there's interest.

Thanks!

I wrote it down as a planned feature for AutoAssign plugin :)

I think eventually, we are going to implement it.

The sad thing is, CPerson.ixWorkingOn is not assignable.

So you can't do it with a plugin.
