Hi

We use the working schedule of FogBugz. My working schedule is set up from 9 to 5. FogBugz will automatically end my current work item at 5, and resume at 9 the next morning. A great feature.

Our FogBugz has been set up to use timezone GMT+1 (we're based in Norway). I came to the firm during the summer, while we were on daylight saving time. Everything has been working fine until last week, when DST ended.

Now, FogBugz will record an interval from 8:00 in the morning, and automatically end work at 4. Under options, the time zone is set to "FogBugz Default", which it claims to be GMT+1.

To us, this seems to be a bug in FogBugz. Does anyone know what's going on?

Update: Now, after a few days, the problem has disappeared! Suddenly one day, FogBugz started creating my automatic intervals from 9 AM to 5 PM, as per my settings. What changed, I don't know.

The Same happend to us in Argentina - I know we are a banana country that has a law that saids that in 22 of Octuber to 11 of March we are going to use a DST but for some reason our President decide this year that we are not, dir I mention that the desicion was taken on 21. This is why I dond blame Microsoft or Apple for this time problem but any way to set htis right will be great. Thanks – Jedi Master Spooky Oct 28 2009 at 10:48
Another thing to check is that the server running FogBugz has all appropriate DST-related updates for the operating system. For example, there have been relatively-recent Windows updates related to DST. – db Aug 19 2010 at 16:10

I don't think there is any automatic adjustment for DST when FogBugz is specifically set to a specific time zone. For example, if your timezone is GMT+1 and your FogBugz server is configured that way (Admin->Site->Regional), then when DST kicks in, FogBugz should be updated (again using Admin->Site->Regional) to GMT+2.

Alternatively, you could try setting FogBugz to using the "Use Server's Time Zone" setting and then if your server is automatically updated for DST then FogBugz will be too.
