(I'm not sure if this is possible already, but at least I haven't found a way to do it.)

The request is as follows:

Ability to define what fields are shown in an rss feed, preferably customizable per-filter.

At the moment (FB 7.0.30) it seems rss feeds always include the following fields:

  • Title (Opened date)
  • Priority
  • Assigned to
  • Status (Milestone) Estimate

As an example, if I create a filter to show new cases in a particular project, when reading these in my rss client they seem to come from the "Assigned to" person instead of the "Opened by" person and I can't figure out how to customize what fields to show.

It may be some time before we get the resources to give some love to the RSS feeds functionality, but for now all the information is available via the API. I know this sounds like a familiar "Just write a plug-in!" response from Fog Creek, but I'm willing to work on something like this if you want to contact me. I'm thinking Python?

We would really like something like this too.

he RSS feed for a case search does not contain enough information to make it very useful. In contrast the email notification includes the last posted message on a case, which frequently provides all the information that is needed to decide whether action needs to be taken. This information is not included in the RSS feed which means that every case must be viewed manually to see what has happened.

We would like to be able select which fields are included in an RSS feed.

I'd find it a very useful feature.
