Thank you for the updated Visual Studio plug-in! It's much better than the old one, but I think there are a few features that would really make it great:

  1. Automatically sign into the website. I have to sign-in to FogBugz using the plug-in, and then if I do anything with the plug-in it makes me sign-in to the website.

  2. Remember my column sort-ordering when doing a refresh.

Thanks!

I've fixed the column sorting issue and that fix should go out in the next service pack.

As for authenticating to the website, I have changed the behavior to open the new-case/send-email/resolve pages in your default browser instead of Visual Studio's default browser. I did this because:

  • Nobody really wants to use VS's browser, you want to use Chrome/Firefox/IE/whatever you've set up as your default browser.

  • There is a high probability that you're already signed in using your actual browser and so the problem of needing to authenticate to both the plug-in and the website goes away for the most part.

Now there's the opposite bug... I don't use my default browser for fogbugz, and I do want to use VS's browser - I want it inside my development windows. As was mentioned at fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/4839/…, this should be an option, since many people DO use it. – Avi D Dec 13 2010 at 16:08
