I just opened a FogBugz On Demand trial.

I have a POP mailbox with a bunch of support emails, divided into two categories: support requests and suggestions.

How can I easily import those emails into my new project, short of forwarding every email to cases@nnn.fogbugz.com?

I would like this to be a one-time thing: in the future, all support & suggestions will be auto-forwarded to cases@nnn.fogbugz.com.

Thank you!

If you point FogBugz at your POP3 mailbox by entering the info on the mailboxes page, FogBugz will import every message currently in the mailbox.

Caveats:

  1. Turn OFF any auto-reply functionality before you do this, otherwise all of your old email will be replied to
  2. FogBugz will then delete all the mail from the mailbox, so if you don't want this to happen, you'll have to clone the mailbox on your mail server.

That's exactly what I was looking for. Now, if I delete the mailbox, FogBugz should stop looking for it and all is well. Yay! – phil Oct 24 2009 at 22:48
