Wouldn't it be nice to have a trigger or alert of some sort to notify the admin of cases going beyond an estimated time? If yes, isn't it also possible to customize your own trigger?

This is entirely possible for a plugin as far as I know, but runs somewhat contrary to the FogBugz philosophy that time estimates shouldn't be used (or abused) to spy on or discipline developers, so I don't think we'll be developing it.

Another point to consider is that the law of averages suggests 1 of every 2 cases will be triggering the alert, even if the law of software development didn't suggest nearly every case would. :)

	Hi, Thanks for the comment. However, this is solely to track the progress and effectively manage a Developer's work. How else can we do that or what other alternatives can you better suggest for tracking if a Case goes beyond the estimated time or is closing in on an estimated time? – Mohsin Sep 22 2010 at 17:50
