In v7 when you selected a saved filter from the "filter" menu the search box was always clear but now in v8 it populates the search box with the filter criteria. We have a number of filters which are based on specific "assignedto" values and now when we select them the search box is now pre populated with the values.

This is quite annoying as this is the list I work from most and every time I now want to search now I have to clear the contents of the search box first. Can it be changed back to not populate the search box?

	Perhaps the better option is to leave the text in the search box since others (myself) would find it useful, but make clicking in the search box select all the text. That way one could click and type and it would be as if nothing was there, but one could click twice and then edit or add to the search. – Samuel Neff Sep 22 2010 at 13:21
	If you are performing a search via the search box, the previously entered text will remain. The bug is that it also appeared for filters, and it's very misleading to have it there. Your filter could apply other criteria besides the search terms that won't be applied, so editing it will not give you the expected results. – Ted♦ Sep 22 2010 at 14:39
