If a FogBugz user goes on Vacation, do they necessarily have to log in their Vacation days in their Schedule? Will it affect Cases that they're still working on - in terms of probability of finishing them on time?

If they leave a case in the "working on" state while they are away, that will definitely mess up their estimation record. Otherwise, no trouble. Vacation is just used to pad out the schedule when guessing when something is done. If you have 3 weeks of work, FogBugz will estimate you'll be done in 3 weeks. If you take a week off without doing anything, you'll still have the same amount of work, so you'll be done 3 weeks after you get back. Logging vacation will allow FogBugz to adjust the pre-vacation estimates and say you'll be done in 4 weeks. Generally, FogBugz believes you when you say are going to be working (without regard to history). Estimation is only calculated based on "time worked" vs "time estimated". There's no record of "time worked" vs "time not working". |
