I already installed two plugins that require FogBugz version 8, although we still run 7.x. I disabled them because (of course) they didn't work. But every now and them all admins still get a warning about the plugins.

Why?

Which plugins are giving you warnings? – Daniel LeCheminant Sep 15 2010 at 16:04

The code that does the version check happens to be in the same code that loads the other plugin attributes, like name, version, website, and so on. If the warnings are bothering you, go ahead and delete the plugin instead of disabling it, that will prevent FogBugz from loading it at all.

I'll try to find a better place or way to do the version check as well. Thanks for letting us know.

....But don't delete the plugin if it has data in it that's valuable to you. E.g., if you accidently install the FB8 version of CaseEventEdit in your FB7 account, deleting the plugin will cause you to lose your edit history. A workaround is to downgrade the plugins by installing their older versions. – Jude Allred Sep 15 2010 at 21:24
