Some programs, such as Skype, have the potential to prevent IIS from operating correctly and may need to be reconfigured.

Skype is a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) Peer to Peer program. We have heard from customers that by default it apparently grabs port 80, which prevents IIS from being able to use that port. Port 80 is the default port for HTTP, so IIS (and thus FogBugz) normally use that port.  If Skype is started first, FogBugz is unable to use that port, and the browser may just display a blank page instead.  As far as we know, you would just need to configure Skype to use a different port, in the Tools > Options > Connection dialog.  Port 443 seems to work.

You may see the message "Unexpected Error 0x8ffe2740 Occurred" when you try to start IIS. If so please see this Microsoft article for more details.
