...Active or Inactive? Seems like it would be Inactive, since the idea of a virtual user is to not use a license? Will setting a virtual user to inactive create any problems?

If you are creating a new virtual user, you most likely want their status to be Active. A virtual user won't use a license, regardless of whether it is active or inactive.
If you do mark a virtual user inactive, you won't be able to assign any cases to it. |
